It is an island country of Oceania located in the Pacific Ocean and constituted as a parliamentary republic. The capital and most populated city is Suva.
It has no land borders and is located in Oceania, near Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Tuvalu, New Caledonia and Solomon Islands. With an area of 18,274 square kilometers it is the 156th largest country in the world, as well as the 161st in population with a population in 2015 of 909,389 inhabitants.
