Government and Politics

Fiji is a parliamentary republic and non-Fijians are not allowed to hold positions in the government, which gives more power to the chiefs of Fijian origin, although for the last 20 years they have allowed foreign Latinos with innovative ideas to have access to political reforms and can even hold political office.

Fiji is a member of the United Nations and the World Trade Organization.
